I do think this would help me though as well, especially as that's how this was written. You can use this to really practice being more positive and developing greater gratitude. Honestly, we can all use that help!
That said, it’s the daily actions that make up most of our lives and that affect us in profound ways. If you’re like me, and you’re driving on a street with one lane in each direction, and you can’t pass the car in front of you, who is driving 35mph in a 55 mph area, you’re going to get very agitated. You might curse, honk your horn, flash your brights, but deep breathing, listening to music, talking to a friend, enjoying the scenery won’t cut it. And I’ve yet to find a way of not being frustrated.
I have used some techniques that have enriched my life. For example, I realize that most of the time I get upset about something, it’s because I had expectations that weren’t met over which I have no control. I made a decision to let go of having expectations (other than when I’m in my car), about a month ago, and have been much happier because of that.
Read this book and discover what you can do to make your life more rewarding.
The craziness of the past 18+ months has weighed heavily on so many people in so many different ways. In my own immediate family I’ve got daughters who have “weathered” the pandemic with minimal changes to her daily life, another daughter who works in the hospitality industry and has had to deal face to face with both kind and ignorant people, and another daughter who has lost so very much. All while my husband and I have been blessed to have weathered it well and been able to help our daughters to meet their daily needs.
Which brings a crazy amount of “guilt” for surviving while so many people have been destroyed.
This book has helped bring a modicum of hope and positivity in dealing with daily life as well as optimism for the future. Nothing is 100% effective or cures all but taking daily steps/practices to improve your outlook and make positive changes sure does help.
I would strongly recommend this book!
We have so many negative thoughts and harmful habits that we don't even think about or realize how they are affecting our overall mood.
This book however definitely helps you be aware of some of them though and helps you with exercises to work through negativity.
Like anything happiness takes work but fortunately this book helps makes that work easier.
The Happiness Workbook is the kind of book to give to someone that needs help and hope. Author Anna Napawan, PHD, simplifies the subject matter making it accessible to everyone and anyone at all levels of their personal growth. Great book to gift to someone you care about or love.
For me personally, CBT is like TNT and can help blow the doors off those negative and hindering thought processes that house those self-limiting beliefs.
Enjoy!

CBT is a system in which people are taught to examine their thinking and behaviors associated and driven by bad thoughts and overcome stifling thinking, depression, anxiety, and sadness. The book is easy to read and its ideas easy to follow.
