   I chose this as a reference for my work as an RN case manager. Many of my patients are in therapy and the benefits swing wildly from helpful to hindering. I work with non-medical personnel who must interpret medical records. Resources like this are very helpful.
   
   The text is comprehensive re: the basics of all talk therapy rapport issues. My only concern was the lack of any consideration of malingering or non-medical gain. Otherwise this is as compete a manual as I have seen for structuring the nature of the helping relationship. Will definitely get use in my reference library.
